I grew up in a family of farmers. From an early age I was surrounded by the land, by olive trees and by the quiet rhythm of agricultural life. Trees were never simply something I looked at — they were part of the landscape I grew up in, living elements with character, age, scars and stories of their own.

Later, I chose architecture. That perspective changed the way I saw trees. I began to understand that an exceptional olive tree is not only a botanical specimen — its proportions, scale, structure and presence can completely transform the way a space is experienced.

Olea & Mare was born from the desire to bring these two worlds together: the knowledge of the land inherited from my family, and the architectural understanding acquired through my profession. Today, we look at the tree the way an architect looks at a building: its proportions, its structure, its relationship with light, materials and space — and, above all, whether it feels as though it was always meant to be there.
